What payment options do you offer?
We take payment via debit & credit cards, Apple Pay & Klarna.
We are hoping to offer Paypal and Paypal pay in 3 (https://www.paypal.com/uk/digital-wallet/ways-to-pay/buy-now-pay-later) at a later date.

Can you put something on hold for me?
We are able to hold an item for a short period in special circumstances. Please contact us to discuss.
How do I care for my jewellery?

Can I buy through instagram and is it the same price?
Customers are welcome to buy through Instagram and DM for pricing
Do you pay import taxes?
You the customer bears the responsiblilty for the import taxes incurred on any of our jewellery orders - please bear this in mind when ordering and check your individual country’s duty charges before you buy.
Can I collect the jewellery in person?
We are unable to offer pick up for our jewellery as we are an online only store.
Can I try the jewellery before i buy?
We are unable to offer a try before buy option as we are an online only store. Please check out our returns policy for how to return an item should you no longer want your jewellery.
Can you source jewellery for me?
We do our best to provide the best service for our customers. If there is something you would like us to look out for please do get in touch via our contact form.
How do you package the jewellery?
Every piece we sell is packaged carefully in tissue and sent in a BVL branded box, wrapped in ribbon with our signature golden crown charm and placed in a padded mail envelope.
Do you offer a resizing or repair service?
We are unable to offer a ring resizing or repair service as this is better done directly between the buyer and the repairer. Please contact your local jewellery store to enquire.
How often do you go on sale?
We currently run sales approximately 2 times a year depending on our stock holding and market environment. Please sign up for our email alerts using the form below or check out our instagram account for news of our promotions
Do you offer a guarantee?
At BVL we sell only vintage and antique jewellery and all items are sold as seen and are, by their nature, often in imperfect condition.
We take great care when selecting, cleaning, repairing and photographing our jewellery - please refer to all images and videos for product quality and contact us with any questions regarding our jewellery before buying.
How can I find my size?
For ring sizes please refer to our ring size chart. You can find your size using a relatively cheap ring sizing tool from Amazon or use the chart to match your finger measurements.
For bracelet sizes measure your wrist at it’s thinnist part
Necklace sizing is in inches and measured to include the clasp
We list carat sizes where available. Please note however that diamond carat weights vary from those of coloured gemstones
Does antique and vintage jewellery have to have hallmarks?
It is normal for antique and vintage jewellery to be found without hallmarks. Age, wear and tear and resizing are just some of the reasons why precious metals may not show any original makers marks. We only buy our jewellery from trusted sources and metals have been tested for quality and content unless otherwise stated.
The Hallmark Act of 1973 states that jewellery made using precious metals manufacured after 1950 require a hallmark - more information on hallmarks can be found on the gov.co.uk website here
